If you had a phone before 2010, you probably remember a game you can no longer play. Maybe it was a J2ME classic on a Nokia, or one of the strange, wonderful titles that only ever existed on regional handsets. The hardware is gone, the storefronts are gone, and the runtimes those games were written for never made it to modern phones.
Handyplay brings that era back. We build emulator cores for the feature-phone runtimes — J2ME, MediaTek MRE, In-Fusio ExEn and Mophun today, with WIPI, DoJa, Flash Lite and more on the way — compile them to WebAssembly, and put them behind a single player. Drop in a .jar, .vxp, .exn or .mpn file and it just runs.
Anywhere you are
The same player runs in your browser, in the iOS and Android apps, and as a Telegram Mini App. Your library and save states sync across all of them, so a game started on the bus continues on your desk. WeChat and LINE versions are on the way.
Compatibility is tracked in the open: every game file we've catalogued is identified by hash and listed with an honest status on the Games pages. If something boots but glitches, the notes say so.
